Pilates is a method of physical fitness that develops long, streamlined musculature and emphasizes deep abdominal or core strength. The method develops healthy postural patterns and increases overall strength and flexibility. It helps to create a strong mind/body connection, enhancing mental focus and increasing self esteem. It is an excellent system of exercise for all ages and abilities.
Pilates Class Schedule
A class for those comfortable with Pilates basics and ready for a more challenging routine.
This class moves more quickly through the traditional exercises and adds props for resistance.
Pilates Mixed Level
A class for those at either level I or II. Modifications are shown to enhance or reduce challenge. Props may be used.
Pilates: Balance, Strength & Stretch
6-week series ∙ March 22 - April 26
This 6 week series is designed to improve balance, strengthen musculature associated with balance and maintain the health of your soft tissue with static and dynamic stretching. Better balance allows for increased ease of movement and injury prevention. Balance is important to practice at all ages. However, it becomes especially important as we get older. Please come and learn some simple balance and core exercises to keep you strong, stable and on your feet!
You must complete the Introduction to Pilates Class (see below) or have previous Pilates experience to take Pilates classes.
